Comments:
After 8th grade graduation from St. Marys in 1960, my family moved to Des Plaines, IL. I attended Maine East H.S. (where Hillary Clinton was a year behind me...nope, didn't know her,) graduating in '64 in a class of 1,000!--a bit of culture shock for this gal from Dixon.
I met my husband, "Happ", on a blind date in '64 and we married in '68, living in numerous places during his stint with the marines ('68-'71.) He returned from Vietnam in '70, and in '72 his civilian job in the healthcare industry took us to the Indianapolis area. We took early retirement in '98 ("to enjoy life while we're still able,") and in 2005 we moved to Bloomington, IN.
We keep busy with volunteer work at the local soup kitchen and homeless shelter, activities at our Church, & family genealogy.
UPDATE: In 2020, we moved to Granger, Indiana--just N. of South Bend.
