Coral Schildberg Lakin

I have many fond memories of Lynn. I was truly saddened by her passing. We had reconnected through Facebook a few years ago and was hoping to see her at the reunion next year (2019). Rest in Peace in the arms of our Creator. You are loved and missed.

I remember so many good times with my dear friend Julie. Sleepovers at her grandmothers, night wanderings around Grand Detour (no, we weren't the ones that redid the gym teacher's garden one night...lol), dances and just hanging. I was saddened to learn of her passing, and still think of the great times we had.

I am living in Clearwater, Florida, and have been since 1968. I was married to my late husband, Ron Lakin, for 38 years (1967-2005) until he passed. I am now in a committed relationship. Ron and I had three girls and have three grandkids. Larry, my partner, and I are hoping to move to Tennessee or North Carolina. I am so tired of living here. The area has grown way to big and busy for my liking. I loved living in a small town and want to get back to that. Give me a cabin in the mountains, an acre or two, some chickens and a nice veggie garden, and I will be happy. I am semi-retired having retired from being the Graphic Designer for the City of Clearwater in 2009. Now I work freelance graphic design. The nice part is I can work when I want and not when I don't. I am trying to reconnect with high school friends that I lost touch with after high school. There was a lot of turmoil in my life and disconnected. I am so glad for this site and Facebook. If you know me, look me up on Facebook, under Dawn Lakin. I have been using my middle name since moving to Florida.
