After graduation served in the US Army for 3 years with a 1 year stint in Vietnam.
Worked in Bloomington Illinois at various jobs at State Farm's Corporate Headquarters in Bloomington Ill. for 42 years.
Researched where to retire for 3 years. Wanted no more cold winters and boring flat land. Wanted to live South and not to far from the Ocean and mountains. Wanted to see more sunsets and live on a lake. We finally found the perfect place: a lake home at Sunset Point in Rock Hill South Carolina.
Since my divorce in November, 2018 I have moved to an apartment in Rock Hill and plan on doing as much travel as I can with travel partners.
William's Latest Interactions
Orlie and I found ourselves sharing the same off campus housing on Murray Street in Macomb Ill. at Western Illinois University our freshman year. Orlie lived on a different level of the house so we didn't see that much of each other. I most often saw him ironing upstairs so he was always a lot neeter than me. He believed in taking care of himself and I hated to admit that he could do more pushups than me which were essentially one arm pushups because of his polio in one arm.

Great picture Bill. I am looking forward to the reunion this year. Glad you are going to be there. How many years has it been?

Great picture Bill. Glad to see you are coming to the reunion.
I mostly knew Jack in grade school since we didn't live that far apart on the South Side. I remember Jack having a fondness for the outdoors. Occasionally we would camp out over night at one or the other's house and often we would go exploring. One night we went into a farmer's field and just laid back and took in all of the stars. Jack knew a lot of the constellations and I never saw so many shooting stars as I did in those few hours.
Rest on in peace among those stars, Jack.
