After graduating, I worked for the Canteen vending company in Dixon for 2 years. I married Anita in 1966. I was drafted into the Army in 1966 and was in Korea for 13 months. After the Army, I worked for the city for two years. After that, I worked for the Dixon Publishing company until I retired 35 years later. When we were moving around in the Army, we said we would never come back to live in Dixon, but here we are, still here. We adopted Dana in 1972, Kara from Korea in 1974, and Micah in 1979. We have been raising Darci, our granddaughter, for the last 21 years. I love being retired, just not enough hours in the day. I live on the golf course and computer, and when I have a few minutes, I work around the house lol. I love golf, bowling, biking, fishing, and following the Fighting Ilini, Cubs, and the Bears on T.V.
